I read previous reviews and sized down, however the shirt was still enormous. My partner is 6ft 6" and usually takes an XL. I ordered large and it is still huge on him, even the sleeves were too long for his very long arms. The shirt looked and felt very comfortable and soft. However the size seems way off, so returned for refund. If buying again I would go for two sizes less than usual.

I bought a brushed flannel shirt last year and because my partner liked it I have just bought another. Lands End is one of the few places I can find a tall-fitting and the shirts fit really well. I cannot yet say much about the new one, but the one I bought last year has washed well and though dark hasn't lost its colour. I know that my partner finds it comfortable and cosy.

A:
The centre back measurement for the XXL is 34½ inches and the sleeve length is 39 inches. The sleeve is measured from the centre back, across the shoulder and elbow to the edge of the cuff.Answered on 11/15/2012 by Claire from Lands' End

Stand in bare feet with your feet slightly apart and your back to a wall. Measure from the top of your head to the floor.
Chest
With arms relaxed at your sides, measure over the fullest part of your chest and shoulder blades, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
