I want to order men's chinos waist 36". What on earth does UK (US:36) mean? This is mnot at allhelpful. Please let me know which size I should order? Please look at your sizings from a customers point of view. The sizing chart does not help.Asked on 8/15/2012 by None1 answer

Thank you for your question - men's trousers are ordered in waist size and leg length. Of course a UK 36" waist is the same as a US 36" waist - so please just order 36". How to measure
If possible, get a friend to help. To be sure of accurate readings, measure over the undergarments you’ll be wearing with your purchase, not over your outer clothing. If you need a tape measure, please e-mail us or call us, and we’ll whisk one off to you absolutely free!
Height
Stand in bare feet with your feet slightly apart and your back to a wall. Measure from the top of your head to the floor.
Waist
Measure around your waist at the height where you normally wear your trousers. Keep one finger between the tape and your body.
Inseam
Take a pair of trousers that fit you well. Measure from crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
Free Hemming
Most trousers can be custom finished with plain hems or turn-ups to the nearest 1/2" (1.5 cm). (For styles where turn-ups are not available, no turn-up selection box will appear on the ordering page.) Most trousers and jeans can be hemmed between 27"– 36" (68.5 cm – 91.5 cm) or left unfinished. Trousers may have turn-ups up to 34" (86.5cm).
