Comments about Men's Squall Hooded Jacket:
This replaces a similar Landsend jacket I had worn out by constant wear over many years. The previous jacket had a very useful zipped pocket that was just inside the flap covering the front zip, so you could access it without unzipping the main jacket in foul weather - brilliant for a mobile or wallet. At first I was excited to see a similar pocket, but it is located on the inside!

Comments about Men's Squall Hooded Jacket:
This jacket is perfect for cold days. It is comfortable to wear.
I find it is more reassuring than the old style squall jacket as it is now waterproof.
I find the hood is too big in that it 'overhangs' the face by a considerable amount. I would prefer the hood to be shorter at the front.
It is ideal for going out in the car due to its shorter length. The full length squall parka feels bulky in the car.
Overall a comfortable jacket for casual cold weather wear and excellent value for money.

Q:
What is the length of both the sleeve and the jacket in small and medium size please? My husband is 5 feet 10 inches tall but slim, his waist is 34 inches and sleeve 33.5 inches. Although he is slim, he usually wears a few layers under the jacket. So should I order a small or medium size for him? Many thanks.
JSYAsked on 1/24/2013 by JSY from London, UK1 answer
A:
The small is 28 1/4" long and the medium is 29" long. The sleeve measurement is taken from the centre back, and is 35 1/2" in small and 36 1/2" in medium. The jacket is cut generously across the chest to allow for layers underneath. The small is recommended for a 34-36" chest and actually measures 45"; the medium is recommended for a 38-40" chest and measures 49".Answered on 1/25/2013 by Sarah from Lands' End

How to measure
If possible, get a friend to help. To be sure of accurate readings, measure over the undergarments you’ll be wearing with your purchase, not over your outer clothing. If you need a tape measure, please e-mail us or call us, and we’ll whisk one off to you absolutely free!
Height
Stand in bare feet with your feet slightly apart and your back to a wall. Measure from the top of your head to the floor.
Chest
With arms relaxed at your sides, measure over the fullest part of your chest and shoulder blades, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
