Q:
I find your size charts confusing. In the UK I take a 16 collar and I am a medium in chest size which size should I be ordering?Asked on 8/16/2012 by Gerry from Largs, Ayrshire1 answer
A:
If you are ordering a casual shirt (where the sizing comes in M, L and XL) you would order a size L. This covers a 16" and 16.5" collar size. The tailored shirts come in collar size and sleeve length. In the size 16" collar there is a choice of three sleeve lengths - 33, 34 and 35. If you are unsure on sleeve length, then please take a measurement from a shirt you have. Place the shirt face down and measure from the centre back position (mid point of collar) and take the tape measure across the shoulder, down the outside of the arm to the cuff. I hope this helps.Answered on 8/17/2012 by Christine from Lands' End

How to measure
If possible, get a friend to help. To be sure of accurate readings, measure over the undergarments you’ll be wearing with your purchase, not over your outer clothing. If you need a tape measure, please e-mail us or call us, and we’ll whisk one off to you absolutely free!
Height
Stand in bare feet with your feet slightly apart and your back to a wall. Measure from the top of your head to the floor.
Chest
With arms relaxed at your sides, measure over the fullest part of your chest and shoulder blades, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.

Please Note
Use the size charts above to find your Lands' End Size. If your measurements fall between two sizes, pick the next smaller size — unless you prefer a roomier fit.
