I wear it on an almost daily basis during the old weather and have no complaints about the jacket. Its warm, comfortable waterproof and has plenty of pockets. Slight differences from my original but nothing major still a great garment.

This jacket was bought as an early Christmas present for my husband. So glad that it arrived good an early as it's already been put to good use during this very cold weather. An excellent buy. Thanks Lands End.

Great for walking the dog last thing at night when the rain lashes down and the wind blows. This coat keeps out the elements big time.

Comments about Men's Expedition Down Parka:

I have had Lands End Squall jackets & Parka's for over 20 years now & many are still going strong & I stock up in the sales=spares. To be fair this is the only Parka that felt a bit tight around the neck?Probably a one off?It is not a big deal but I usually wear a neck tube warmer & I cannot on this one?It is perfectly warm enough with no neck tube & with the zip pulled right the way up.& the other issue of the zip sticking has never happened before & I resolve it by going back up & then pulling down swiftly & it opens OK.I choose this for Autumn & Winter dog walking as my 2 dogs sniff a lot & I get cold.I always buy large & they always fit me perfectly.I also wanted a warm down Parka that is waterproof as lately it is easy for a downpour to happen. On that note I have not yet worn it in the rain so cannot comment as to its waterproofness. My best guess is it should perform well enough on a 40 minute dog walk but if you want something with a 100% waterproof guarantee for mountain climbing spend £300-500 on Specialist Gear? This is perfectly warm for most nights BUT it is not the warmest down Parka Lands End do........For extra warmth you need to sacrifice ANY waterproofness ability & just buy the best down parka they sell-that is my opinion.I have the ten year old Goosedown Parka & that is my warmest Lands End Parka.
I have the ten year old Goretex Squall insulated(fleece) Parka & that is not as warm as this Expedition Parka.I like to have the right coat for the right occasion.Nothing worse than being too hot or too cold!
Length is VERY important for the rain & cold as I own the shorter Squall Jackets I found my bum & thighs get cold or worse wet as the rain run's off the jacket on to your legs.So Parkas are a must for Autumn/Winter & jackets fine for Spring/Summer.On this subject I am buying item 476727G22 the waterproof Stadium Squall Coat £155 for the extra length-this should be warmer than my old Goretex Squall Parka. As they say "Size matters"!

We don't have a waterproof rating but, as this coat has sealed seams, it is fully water-proof.
