Comfort inside and out
On the outside, these are simply great jeans, comfortably cut in an all-cotton needlecord that's superbly soft and rich. Inside, they get rather clever; a lining of plaid-patterned flannel is bonded to the reverse of the corduroy, creating a double-layered fabric with warmth and substance.
Features
  • Soft, comfortable cord jeans
  • Cotton needlecord has a bonded flannel reverse
  • Classic 5-pocket cut
  • Straight fit: sits below the waist; straight leg
  • 100% cotton; machine wash
  • Pre-hemmed

Comments about Men's Flannel-bonded Cord Jeans:

The legs are very narrow - like the drainpipe trousers of my youth; a more generous cut in the leg would have made them more comfortable to wear. But the flannel lining makes them warmer than Lands End's other cords.

      Men's Regular Flannel-bonded Cord Jeans
      Style # 477568

My father usually has a size UK32 waist and length, and usually has the 'straight leg' trouser style.
He is about 5 ft 10 inches tall and very thin.
These flannel-bonded jeans are said to be quite tight below the knee - would the UK32 size in this style therefore be tighter than the usual 'straight leg' for my father?

        A:

        Thank you for your enquiry.
We would not expect that your father would need to size up on these trousers. This would make the overall size larger, therefore be too big on his waist etc.
