Your 9-to-5 chinos
Sharp tailoring you expect from smarter trousers, but these chinos bring more to the table: non-iron convenience. An easy-care finish means the combed cotton fabric is smooth and smart, straight from the dryer. Permanent leg creases add to their crisp demeanour, while free hemming completes the package perfectly.
Do these still have rear pockets? Or are the complaints simply that the rear pockets don't have flaps to cover them?

Richard

Hello, and thank you for your inquiry. These chinos continue to have rear pockets. Whilst they do not have covering flaps, they both have a button fastening.

What colour is Juniper? It looks a dark grey on the website, but the concern is it is more green than grey. This question relates to men's chinos.

Inneedoftrousers

The colour deep juniper is described as a dark charcoal with green undertones.

Please could you publish the width of the trousers at the mid-thigh, the mid-calf and the leg opening? (Measured on one side when laid flat, not the circumference). For a 33" waist, please, if it makes a difference.

Rich

Thank you for your enquiry. Please be advised that measurements I am able to provide at this time will be as follows: Thigh 1" Below Crotch Point- Flat 27 ½ Inches. Knee - 14" below Crotch Point- 20 ¾ Inches. Bottom opening, 17 ¼ Inches.

I am losing it with inside leg measurements. I find I am throwing chinos away because the bottoms are worn frayed, now people tell me my trousers are 2" too short. Guidance on your system of measurements please? How to give you the right figure?

Pat

Thank you for your enquiry The measurement is taken from the inside leg inseam and I would suggest that you measure a pair of trousers, which you already have that fit you well and you like the length of. You may wish to have a longer leg length if you intend to wear a high heeled shoe or shorter if you are wearing a flat shoe.

Pat

Hello, and thank you for your enquiry. In order to get the correct inside leg measurement, you can take a pair of trousers you know to fit well, then measure from the crotch seam down the inside of the leg to the bottom. This measurement (in inches) is what is used by our hemming service.

Michael

Can items that have been hemmed still be returned? Is the cost of returns £2.70 even if more than one item is returned?

BenJess

I can confirm that the chinos may be returned to us even if they have been hemmed. The cost of using the Hermes returns service is £2.70 per parcel so if you have more than one item to send back, please put them all in one package. The cost for using Royal Mail will vary depending on the size/weight of the parcel.

Sarah

Dear Sir, What has happened to your long/rise fit specification for chinos? They were a very good cut for men on the tall side providing a little more room in the crutch area! And were really great . I have three pairs. I Had meant to ask you if you might considering getting the manufacturers of your cord trousers to offer the same long fit, I am sure there would be a demand especially if the facility was advertised Regards Roy P Compton

Percy

We are not planning to offer our Men's Chinos in the tall fitting. I have however passed your request for these to our Merchandising Team.

Claire

It was possible in the past to order the pleated trousers with turn ups, is this no longer the case? If you look in my order history you ll find the item I refer to. Best. Mario

M

We do still offer a turn-up on our Men's Chinos, after selecting your choice of colour and waist size, please us the drop down box to choose the inside leg length and whether you require a turn-up or plain hem.

Claire

Hi, you just answered my question about whether these have a permanent crease, thank you for the reply but I'm disappointed in the answer. I bought a pair of these a year or two ago without a permanent crease, they're great and I'd like to replace them so do you still sell this style without the crease?

Andrew

We no longer stock the style you purchased previously but the Lighthouse Chino collection do not have a permanent crease.

At last I've found classic fit chinos

Please don't ever change these chinos or stop selling them. I love classic style and classic fit chinos with pleats and turn ups are very hard to come by on the high street, I shall be buying more.

At last! Men's trousers that are regular fit, not slimline

5

I have found it very difficult in recent years to find pleated front trousers that can accommodate larger than average legs( lymphodaema sufferer) Well done Landsend! I need comfort when I sit down and the Chinos in Stone are perfect.

Comfortable, smart chinos

4

Good comfortable pair of chinos. Please don't let people persuade you to alter the comfortable fit or I'll have to shop elsewhere. There are more than enough skinny trousers out there. I would prefer the pockets to be at an angle rather than vertical. I have ripped the pockets in previous pairs when catching them on armchairs.

Fade badly

1

Lands' End have a serious problem with their darker coloured chinos. They fade badly and quickly. They are only exposed to UK weather and this is not a problem with other manufacturers. The fit is perfect, which makes it all the more irritating.

Also expected back flap pockets but they had dissapeared!!

4

I need Indiana jones pants so bought them. But it was only on receiving them that I realized they didn't have back flap pockets, like they used to. So it was my fault for not checking the pictures clearly. But they should re design them with the flap back pockets and only then would I buy again. But the khaki colour was Indy like so I cant complain there.

No back flap pockets like indiana jones for some reason?

3

I like the pleats on these. But they used to have a back flap pocket but no longer do it for some reason, they looked nicer. Could do with a dark muddy khaki colour though.

Pleated trousers at last!

4

I've been looking for pleated trousers for ages and am delighted to find these. Be aware that Lands End measure inside leg differently to M&S, I'm an M&S 29" but a Lands End 27". The trousers are comfortable and look smart enough. The waist is particularly good as it doesn't bunch up when a belt is worn. I can't comment on how they last - my first pair have only just been washed for the first time - but I'm ordering another 3 pairs.

Baggy

1

Material appears good, but perhaps a little generous around the waist, and leg length. Perhaps because of this the seat area is very baggy. I'm returning them because of this.
