I would not buy this again

Pros

  • Practical

Cons

  • Zip very difficult to fasten/unfasten

Best Uses

  • At night when using telescope in Winter

This is not true Landsend quality when it comes to the choice of zip. It is extremely difficult to get it started and also almost impossible to get it unfastened at the hem. This makes the jacket difficult to use - as it is a Winter one and it is expected to want to close the jacket in cold weather! Not Happy :(

This is a very comfortable jacket, short enough to wear whilst driving, but keeps the trunk warm whilst walking. Great value in the sale. Robust construction.

This is basically a pretty accurate copy of an MA-1 flight jacket - the Vietnam era one before the MA-2 /CWU45 replaced it - with the added advantage of a down lining. Lands End rate it at the same warmth as a Squall but I think it is warmer. I've had mine for less than a week and have already worn it three times which probably says it all. Pretty good value at full price but I got mine in the sale at 30% off which was even better. Recommended.

          A:

We would recommend a size Medium if you normally take a Small, as we are finding that they are coming up smaller than expected.
