Q:How many centimeters is it across the fabric at the waist on size W36?
My regular jeans size is W34 but I think I should size up on these. Not sure.Asked on 10/6/2013 by Jazz from Uppsala, SWE
A:The garment waist measures 37.25 inches (94.5 cms). This measurement is taken from the outside of the fabric as if running a tape measure through the belt loops.Answered on 10/7/2013 by Claire from Lands' End

How to measure
If possible, get a friend to help. To be sure of accurate readings, measure over the undergarments you’ll be wearing with your purchase, not over your outer clothing. If you need a tape measure, please e-mail us or call us, and we’ll whisk one off to you absolutely free!
Stand in bare feet with your feet slightly apart and your back to a wall. Measure from the top of your head to the floor.
Measure around your waist at the height where you normally wear your trousers. Keep one finger between the tape and your body.
Take a pair of trousers that fit you well. Measure from crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
Most trousers can be custom finished with plain hems or turn-ups to the nearest 1/2" (1.5 cm). (For styles where turn-ups are not available, no turn-up selection box will appear on the ordering page.) Most trousers and jeans can be hemmed between 27"– 36" (68.5 cm – 91.5 cm) or left unfinished. Trousers may have turn-ups up to 34" (86.5cm).
