Comments about Men's Traditional Fit Pleated Front No-iron Chinos:

Lands' End have a serious problem with their darker coloured chinos. They fade badly and quickly. They are only exposed to UK weather and this is not a problem with other manufacturers.

The fit is perfect, which makes it all the more irritating.

Comments about Men's Traditional Fit Pleated Front No-iron Chinos:

I need Indiana jones pants so bought them. But it was only on receiving them that I realized they didn't have back flap pockets, like they used to. So it was my fault for not checking the pictures clearly.
But they should re design them with the flap back pockets and only then would I buy again. But the khaki colour was Indy like so I cant complain there.

I like the pleats on these. But they used to have a back flap pocket but no longer do it for some reason, they looked nicer.
Could do with a dark muddy khaki colour though.

Comments about Men's Traditional Fit Pleated Front No-iron Chinos:

I've been looking for pleated trousers for ages and am delighted to find these.

Be aware that Lands End measure inside leg differently to M&S, I'm an M&S 29" but a Lands End 27".

The trousers are comfortable and look smart enough. The waist is particularly good as it doesn't bunch up when a belt is worn.

I can't comment on how they last - my first pair have only just been washed for the first time - but I'm ordering another 3 pairs.

Comments about Men's Traditional Fit Pleated Front No-iron Chinos:

Material appears good, but perhaps a little generous around the waist, and leg length. Perhaps because of this the seat area is very baggy. I'm returning them because of this.

What colour is Juniper? It looks a dark grey on the website, but the concern is it is more green than grey. This question relates to men's chinos.

Please could you publish the width of the trousers at the mid-thigh, the mid-calf and the leg opening? (Measured on one side when laid flat, not the circumference).

For a 33" waist, please, if it makes a difference.

I am losing it with inside leg measurements. I find I am throwing chinos away because the bottoms are worn frayed, now people tell me my trousers are 2" too short. Guidance on your system of measurements please? How to give you the right figure?

              Thank you for your enquiry
The measurement is taken from the inside leg inseam and I would suggest that you measure a pair of trousers, which you already have that fit you well and you like the length of. You may wish to have a longer leg length if you intend to wear a high heeled shoe or shorter if you are wearing a flat shoe.

Hello, and thank you for your enquiry. In order to get the correct inside leg measurement, you can take a pair of trousers you know to fit well, then measure from the crotch seam down the inside of the leg to the bottom. This measurement (in inches) is what is used by our hemming service.

I can confirm that the chinos may be returned to us even if they have been hemmed. The cost of using the Hermes returns service is £2.70 per parcel so if you have more than one item to send back, please put them all in one package. The cost for using Royal Mail will vary depending on the size/weight of the parcel.

            Dear Sir,
What has happened to your long/rise fit specification for chinos?
They were a very good cut for men on the tall side providing a little more room in the crutch area! And were really great . I have three pairs. I Had meant to ask you if you might considering getting the manufacturers of your cord trousers to offer the same long fit, I am sure there would be a demand especially if the facility was advertised

            Hi,
you just answered my question about whether these have a permanent crease, thank you for the reply but I'm disappointed in the answer. I bought a pair of these a year or two ago without a permanent crease, they're great and I'd like to replace them so do you still sell this style without the crease?

The fabric has a crease resistant finish reducing creasing when wet and with the capacity to lose creases when wet. They do have a permanent crease.
