Just what I need to keep warm in cold windy weather. But I still haven't mastered the main (double ended) zip, it's a real fiddle. And I've had problem with the lining catching in the pocket zip.

I use it mostly without the hood as it is less bulky.With the hood on it is really cosy. I wear it for going out for a meal or just shopping. It looks smart and I feel confident. I found the long length design of the belt a bit annoying. Whenever I wear it unfastened or carry it, the belt trails on the floor and I, or other people, tread on it.

I got this coat for a trip to Norway and couldnt have been happier. It kept me warm and dry through snow and -10C plus wind chill temperatures. I was able to stand on the deck of a ship at midnight in the wind watching the sky and not feel the cold. The hood on its own is a little large but perfect with a hat. Its not too bulky so was able to move without feeling restricted.

Casual user, nice warm coat but the fluff is constantly leaking through the diamond stitching, unfortunately. Both cars'seats are successfully covered with it as well as tiny little fluffy bits flowing around me that makes me quite antisocial. Shame and let down.

Lovely colour angel blue, but leaks feathers, usually out of the diamond stitching. Well, I can't drive in it as our both cars' seats have now been feathered all over and the fluff is flowing everywhere inside the car which is quite annoying. Vacuumed the cars and can wear the coat only for dog walkies but not to work/study or anywhere and with anything if there is a risk of feather contamination!Very anti sociable especially with tiny fluff flowing around me.

Having read other reviews on both the UK and US sites I knew this jacket may leak feathers but I got it in the sale so it wasn't too bad and hence why I would say it was value for money. I am having some leakage - mainly very small, fine down which can be a pain when you are wearing a dark coloured top on underneath. Another reviewer commented that the outer fabric isn't heavy enough to contain the feathers and I agree. On the whole though, for the price I paid, I'm happy. Also, I got the jacket in pink and it's really nice although i wish we could get the american colour range - particularly the rich red!!!

The care instructions for this Parka are as follows:
Remove the trim which must be dry cleaned. The parka itself should be machine washed on cold, delicate. Wash dark colours seperately. Tumble dry on low with clean tennis balls (or similar). Cool iron. Do not dry clean the coat itself.Answered on 2/4/2013 by Daniel from Lands' End

Although we do recommend tumble-drying with a couple of clean tennis balls to keep the down broken up, we have had some customer have success with line-drying the item and taking it down every 20 minutes or so to give it a vigorous shaking to break up the down again.Answered on 12/31/2012 by Daniel from Lands' End

Stand in bare feet with your feet slightly apart and your back to a wall. Measure from the top of your head to the floor.
Bust
With arms relaxed at your sides, measure the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
