Comments about Women's Down Commuter Coat:
The coat looked nice but the sizing is too big. I found the feathers were a little spiky through the material, I returned this coat for a different style.

Comments about Women's Down Commuter Coat:
For everyday usage it serves its purpose - warm, water-resistant, windproof however fabric is not entirely breathable and so causes perspiration to build up after walking what i consider to be normal distances - to and from tube station, shopping, etc. My other down coat, bought from Landsend, in 2009, although not as waterproof, is very warm, snug and very breathable but now looking well-worn. I was hoping to replace this in all respects so am disappointed that the fabric does not breathe as well. "Commuter"describes what it is....that is, good to get to and from work, if not walking too far.

Pleased with this coat and would buy again. Ideal when in car driving as it is not too bulky.

Comments about Women's Down Commuter Coat:
Bought this last year in red as it was an excellent price and I wanted something padded that wasn't quilted on the outside. I can honestly say it's the warmest, most all-round useful coat I've ever had; even the hood fits, and keeps the wind off your face. Have worn this coat in sub-zero temperatures and Arctic winds without feeling the cold. It would have had five stars but for the lack of a 2-way zip which means it's best to undo it on the bus or in the car to avoid strain.
Have also had plenty of compliments on the style. Feathers only a slight problem so far.

Comments about Women's Down Commuter Coat:
Wore this coat for the first time today and got complimented on it by everyone. Would describe the colour as oatmeal - nice colour. Would normally take a size 16 in a jacket/coat and I ordered the size 16/18. It is loose but not too much but then again as the coat is so warm, I would not want it to be too fitted.

Comments about Women's Down Commuter Coat:
Just as well I am on a diet because it feels a bit nipped in the body width. There is so much overall warmth and general padding that its possible this has taken a bit out of the overall width measurement. Wore it in extremely squally weather and didn't notice any of it. Great weather coat and looks good too.

Comments about Women's Down Commuter Coat:
This coat is fantastic.
Wasn't sure about the colour before I ordered it (bought cafe au lait) but was pleased when it arrived as its a nice warm colour.
Also the sizing is generous. Initially ordered a medium but this was big even with layering so returned and replaced with a small which fits well; I am 5'9 and size 12/14 normally. I have found it hard to get decent down coats that are waterproof so this is doubly good.
Can't believe I hadn't spotted this before!

Comments about Women's Down Commuter Coat:
Was initially impressed when bought last February - fitted well and so commfy and warm. After a month was losing feathers so couldnt wear with anything dark. Reported this to Lands End and asked for advice on how to stop this happening but no reply. Not many occasions when I can wear now so feel let down.

Yes, the lining of this coat is quilted - the lining is sewn into rectangular channels.Answered on 10/10/2012 by Christine from Lands' End
