Comments about Women's Down Commuter Long Coat:
A lovely coat; well made and extremely warm. I felt however, that I could not have coped with this length and style of coat when driving and/or taking dog to beach for walks. Quite heavy too (the coat not me!)and too complicated with two-way zips and buttons and inside pockets etc. Will look for alternative 3/4 style jacket I think.

Comments about Women's Down Commuter Long Coat:
Coat arrived this morning. Excellent timing as it was -4° C out - and it's going to get colder.
So coat straight on and off to work. Great fit although it could maybe be tailored some at the waist to give it more form. Warm and cosy and great to have a hood. I'm delighted. Thank you

Comments about Women's Down Commuter Long Coat:
My squall is just not warm enough so. Bought the commuter coat as it was rated warmer, and it is.
Could have been longer (I had the petite), but needed the shorter arm length.
Is it attractive - no! But it is warm and I'm now ready for the snow, though haven't yet worn it in wet weather so couldn't say if it is as waterproof as it says in the blurb

Comments about Women's Down Commuter Long Coat:
Great for cold and/or wet days out walking the dog. Inner cuff could be a bit tighter. I was too warm the first day I wore it! If you are normally a person who feels the cold you will love this coat but for me it will have to be really cold - I would not part with it though!
Could not add to the boxes above - no choices and could not add own comments!

Comments about Women's Down Commuter Long Coat:
I bought this coat for winter wear in all weathers and in advance of a visit to Geneva. I am delighted with the product: it fits well, it looks good and fully suits my purposes. I especially like the colour (Toast) which I bought because the black and the lime weren't available in my size at the time and, in fact, I am glad I had my choice "forced" in this way.

Comments about Women's Down Commuter Long Coat:
The coat is lovely, surprisingly lightweight, and although waterproof the fabric is not stiff, shiny or noisy to move in. I have had to return it however, as I am only 5'5" and the coat is very long (I think the model in the catalogue must be a good 4-6 inches taller than me). The sheer length of the coat makes the zip really fiddly to locate accurately and do up (for a short person). I usually take a size 16 in outerwear, so ordered the large which turns out is a little too big on me, because it is very roomy, especially from the hips down - good for striding around in though I'd imagine.

Comments about Women's Down Commuter Long Coat:
This is undoubtedly the best value coat I have ever purchased. It managed to arrive on probably the coldest day we have had so far this year so was immediately worn on my commute. It is lightweight, comfortable and oh so warm and snug! It has wonderfully spacious and deep pockets inside and out, and I don't know who thought of adding a studded seam inside the pocket so that you can access your trousers/jeans pockets underneath without even unzipping it, but it is inspired!
The length is perfect calf length (I am 5'5"), long enough, but doesnt get caught up or trip you over. Likewise arm length is perfect for me and I love the soft inner cuff which keeps out the cold. It zips right up to the chin if you should so desire and has a great removable hood.
All in all, a fantastic purchase, I would highly recommend this item. Huge thanks to all of you, keep up the great work!

Comments about Women's Down Commuter Long Coat:
Great coat - I wear it outside all day every day and so far so good! The zip can be a bit awkward to do up but otherwise it's a warm, well made coat.

What is the down made from ie is it goose down, duck down or some form of synthetic down? This year's catalog only refers to power down, rather than to goosedown as in previous years. This makes me suspicious that the filling is no longer goose down. Please reply with actual details of the down in this coat.Asked on 11/1/2012 by Savvy shopper from East Midlands, UK1 answer

Hi, I wonder if you can give me advice on whether I need a standard or petite fit? I am quite short waisted with short arms and find a lot of jackets and coats are too long in the sleeve. What are the different sleeve lengths on the standard and petite sizes please? I will need a UK 16 or 14-16. Many thanks, LisaAsked on 11/1/2012 by Lisa from UK1 answer
