Wanted something to beat this last spell of cold weather and a classic ready for next winter.
Lovely feel very warm and not bulky.
BUT it was a very cream colour not what I would call Ivory!
I am 5.7 and the sleeve length was short.
Carefull when ordering as the returns system is NOT good, tried 5 times to register and pay via the recommended myhermes returns, no success so cost me £9.90 to post back via Royal Mail- in total for delivery and return £14! and no coat!

Initially the coat was only available in black, so I ordered that. When it came I loved it but I noticed that other colours were then available, so I swapped it for the velvet orange. I noticed comments about the zip and I agree that its a bit tricky but mainly because the zip connection is on the wrong side i.e it would be easy for a left handed person. Are all Lands End Zip coats like this?
I still love it, especially the softest pockets ever and lovely luxourious fur collar.

Lovely coat, very warm! Have not wore it in the rain yet so not sure if water proof? Looks good with or without belt. Even though its padded it does not feel bulky. Only thing that would have been nice would be to have thumb holes in the cuffs?

Great coat that has lived upto expectations. Only slight niggle is the zip pulls up on the opposite side to what I'm used to. But I love it: warm, lightweight and a good shape. Well worth it.

This has certainly proven to be warm and waterproof. I love the hood although it is quite big and tends to fall over my eyes. I think I should have gone for the petite but was concerned it would be too small so I have kept this one. The zip is difficult to do up, it has to be aligned precisely and certainly cannot be done in a hurry. It could become quite frustrating!The belt is very long and will have to be shortened if I want it pulled in at the waist.

This coat is an excellent buy, value for money, very warm, great for taking the dog for a walk in this very cold weather. Dressy enough to wear into town. I bought the velvet orange shade which is a lovely shade to brighten up these dull Scottish winter days.Would definitley recommend to a friend and already have one friend planning to purchase one.

After suffering from almost numb legs in the extreme cold weather, I decided I needed a longer length, warm coat that would be ideal when out walking the dog and throughout the coldest winter weather. I wanted a nicely styled coat that was warm, wind proof, shower proof and just the right length to not be restrictive when climbing stiles and walking in general. This coat fits the bill perfectly and I am delighted with my purchase and the useful information available regarding product specifics directly through Lands End, assisted me greatly when making my final decision. Now I feel so stylish that the coat is a bit too good to use for dog walking and climbing stiles (I couldn't bear to ruin it!) and so I will put up with cold legs for a while longer, at least until I feel I've had my fair share of use out of my lovely coat before I dare to potentially damage it in any way!

I've been wearing this coat for three weeks and I'm really pleased with it. I wear it to work but also when I go for walks on the sea front. It's light but very warm, not bulky. The end of the sleeves and the pockets are lined with a fleecy material that feels very soft and warm.I bought the cocoa bean colour and I love it, true to the photo on the website.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the zip could be better but that alone wouldn't stop me to buy it again.

Our down items are washable. We recommend that following washing, to tumble dry with tumble dryer balls to break up the down and to stop it forming into clumps. We have found that some of the down items do lose feathers due to the quill moving around and pushing against both the seams and the fabric. We accept that this can appear unsightly, especially if wearing a darker colour coat or darker colour clothes underneath.

The petite fit is designed for a height of 4'11" to 5'3". As a guide, the medium in the petite fit has a garment chest measurement of approximately 44h inches, an overall length of approximately 34 1/8 inches and a sleeve length (measured from the centre back point) of 33 1/4 inches.
The regular fit is designed for a height of 5'4" to 5'7".
