The legs are far too wide - almost bootcut rather than straight. Definitely not suitable for "shortie" petite with a size 3 shoe! Also a bit disappointed with the fabric - a bit thin and limp.

They are good trousers but I'm not as pleased as usual - my own mistake - I think I bought a size too big & didn't realise until I had shortened them so too late to return them. May try taking them in as a last resort!

Photographed on a tall model and perhaps, I suspect, using methods to alter the appearance of the trouser leg, these trousers bore no resemblance to the photograph. They looked absurd in petite. They were straight but very wide.

Sadly, I aways seem to have a problem with the fit on Landsend Trousers these days. I find them baggy in the waist, surely I am not the only person who has a waist that goes in! I am not ready for elastic waists yet!

Comfortable fit instantly. The waist sits very comfortably - not too high or too low.

They are a bit wider around the hem than I thought and than they appear in the catalogue photograph, but nevertheless fit very well on the hips.

At the moment we have summer/autumn weight chinos - and I have no information about winter weight chinos for next season. We will pass this suggestion on to our Merchandizing Dept. How To measure
If possible, get a friend to help. To be sure of accurate readings, measure over the undergarments you’ll be wearing with your purchase, not over your outer clothing. If you need a tape measure, please e-mail us or call us, and we’ll whisk one off to you absolutely free!
Height
Stand in bare feet with your feet slightly apart and your back to a wall. Measure from the top of your head to the floor.
Waist
Measure around your waist at the height where you normally wear your trousers. Keep one finger between the tape and your body.
Hips
Stand with your heels together, and measure around the fullest part of your hips, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
Inseam
Take a pair of trousers that fit you well. Measure from crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
Free Hemming
Most trousers can be custom finished with plain hems or turn-ups to the nearest 1/2" (1.5 cm). For styles where turn-ups are not available, no turn-up selection box will appear on the ordering page.
Regular trousers can have turn-ups from 27"– 32" (68.5 cm – 81.5 cm), and without turn-ups, can be hemmed from 27"– 34" (68.5 cm – 86.5 cm), or left unfinished for you to hem yourself.
Petite trousers can have turn-ups from 25"-29" (63.5 cm – 74 cm), and without turn-ups, can be hemmed from 25"-31" (63.5 cm – 78.5 cm), or left unfinished for you to hem yourself.
