Comments about Women's Commuter Down Long Coat:

I bought this last winter, to cycle to work in and to walk my dog. It is the warmest coat I have ever had (and I worked as a landscape architect for 12 years, so I am used to dressing up to stand around in the cold.) I can truthfully say I have never been cold. And I haven't got wet either. I didn't expect to be able to cycle in it, but that was a wonderful bonus, and it's totally wind-proof.
I absolutely love it! I can't rate it highly enough. I've had my dog for 7 years and this is the first year I've never once been cold walking him. And after a year it still looks and feels brand new.
I love the fact that I can go out in the coldest weather in what I was already wearing: I don't have to change into warmer clothes first.
I'm 5'9" and it's a great length for me. I love the long warm sleeves - I only needs gloves when it's really cold (and to cycle.)
As you can see, I'm a huge fan.

It's a beautiful coat, and very warm. But - it absolutely swamps me. I like the fact that it is warm and waterproof. Would it be possible to have something similar - ie. warm and waterproof, slightly less warm and in parka length ?

Comments about Women's Commuter Down Long Coat:

This is a very well made coat but it's so bulky from the padding I felt like I was wearing a thick duvet. So it felt heavy and difficult to move easily in. Also I knew I would roast in it. So I sent it back.

Comments about Women's Commuter Down Long Coat:

I bought this coat because it was waterproof and warm. It was beautifully made and had clever pockets. The main problem for me was that it was too bulky, it would have been difficult to drive in. I realise that bulk means warmth but this made me look huge, not flattering at all (I am size 12). The colours were very boring and the navy looked like a school uniform. Lovely coat for someone perhaps but not for me so I returned it.

Very comfortable and very warm. Stylish and functional as well (especially there are lots of clever pockets). My coat is Merlot, which is really lovely colour. I only received this yesterday, so I cannot comment on whether it is durable or washes well, but feels there will be no problem (well, let's see...). It certainly looks very well made. As I got this for the coldest days of winter, it is still too early to put it on, but I am absolutely satisfied.

Please be advised that if you order the petite the sleeve length and the coat length will be shorter as it is made for a lady of 5 feet 3 and under, therefore you will need to order the regular for your height.

I have previously bought a down coat from you, but down comes out of it on to my clothes - if wearing black this means it looks untidy when I arrive at work. Will this coat do this or can I relax knowing my clothing won't look a mess when I arrive at work?

Please be advised that the down should not continuously shed onto clothing, we would expect a small amount to leak through from time to time due to the nature of the garment, however you should be able to relax knowing you will stay free of too many loose feathers.

Hi, and thanks for your enquiry. The hood of our Commuter Down Long Coat is 13 1/2" in height, from the shoulder seam. The width does vary slightly depending on size required, but in a 'M' (UK 14-14/16) it is 11 5/8" when measured 5" from the top. I hope this helps. However, if we can offer any further assistance, please call us on 0800 220 106.

Three or four years ago I purchased one of your down coats that is quilted on the outside & lined on the inside so the inside is leakproof but the outside leaves a considerable trail of down wherever I sit. Car, train & bus seats all get covered which is pretty unpleasant for me & for the next person who sits in the seats!

I'm considering buying one of your down coats. Of the two that I'm considering, one is "below-the-knee" length, and the other is "mid-calf." Can I assume that the "mid-calf" coat is longer? By how much?

                    Thank you.......Rachel

                      Thank you for your enquiry.

Please be advised that style number 458007 is the longer mid-calf length, the size medium for instance as comparison measure 43 ½ inches form centre-back as opposed to style number 431700 which will measure 36 ½ inches.

Hi, in the photos of the woman wearing this jacket in the blue colour, it looks like the interior is also blue. Whereas the other photos suggest the interior is a maroon colour. Which is right, please? I'm really hoping you do in just blue, not with the purple interior poking out which looks quite weird... Thanks

I can confirm the interior lining does match the outside of the coat on all colours.
