Feels good, inside and out
We fell for the feel of the yarn before we even knew what it was. We’re talking bury-your-face-in softness, with an irresistible lightness, which is surprising for a cotton-rich fabric. Then we learned the secret: the cotton is blended with merino wool and recycled polyester - yes, plastic bottles! It’s a superior fabric, scoring high marks for pill resistance and durability, a great foundation for this wonderfully flattering design: a jumper you’ll feel good about wearing, inside and out.

Size issue

I usually order petite but as this not an option with this style, took a chance with Reg XS. Sadly this was still far to big for me even though the trend is for baggy jumpers it drowned me. I love the Burgundy shade, but could not wear it, so have returned. However I would recommend to others who I am sure would look great in this needing a Reg fitting, and the material is lovely and soft.

I like the style of this jumper and it is comfortable but it feels very synthetic. It piles too and looks quite worn after one wash. I agree with the reviewer who points out that you can buy all wool jumpers from other online retailers at a cheaper price. It would have been a lovely jumper in pure cotton.

I bought several of these after returning the other Aran styles that I'd LOVED and bought loads of but they pilled in 9 hours of wear! These shaker style said pill resistant. BUT I wore one for the first time under a navy coatigan and after two hours looked as though I'd been rolling in pink fluff. It came off everywhere! I'm a huge fan of Lands End and tend to live in their clothing but the jumpers this year have been disastrous. Overpriced, won't last five minutes, and hand wash. Not a good combination. Then, to boot, waiting ages and ages for refunds. I've gone back to a good woollens company to buy my jumpers this year, where they are pure wool, cheaper, and machine wash and the styles just as nice.. Sorry Lands End.

Both comfortable AND stylish. As previous reviewer said, the knit is quite loose, but I found it perfect for size and very soft and cosy. Not as thick as the other cowl neck sweaters Lands End are doing this year, but still has it's perfect place in the wardrobe. Really love it and bought two. Lands End have excelled themselves with their sweaters this year - lovely cables and design, and beautiful fit, and great colours!

In many ways this is a delightful sweater, soft, unusual and pretty cable patterns, relaxed and slouchy. However it is really stretchy, and quite bulky, so stretchy that I could loan mine to someone at least two sizes larger and it would fit them just fine. Weight is light for the bulk of it. Keeps you comfortably warm but not too hot for chilly fall days. I could not help but feel that this might have knit up a little better a tighter tension. Remains to be seen how it will wash. So cozy, yes, but order a size down at least if mine is anything to go by. Overpriced but still likeable somehow.
