Very pleased with this jacket. Had to send first one back as it felt too snug but next size fits great and it was simple to return for a size larger. My one criticism is that the Upper pockets are way to high up to use though, needs a redesign in that dept but overall great value.

A great piece of practical kit. This is a super coat for dog-walking in any weather! I've worn it in snow, wind and horizontal rain and am still warm and dry. It has great pockets including hand-warmers and lots of room for doggie treats and a lead etc.

The Velcro fastenings over the zip catch on scarves, jumper sleeves etc.
          Poppers would be better.
But generally a good warm winter jacket.

I have replaced my 5 year old Squall with an Insulated Squall as the current Squall is not as warm as my original one. It is cosy enough but some of the other features have changed for the worse in my opinion eg not as long at the front, hand warmer pockets are too high (on my bust). However, these coats are excellent for dog walking duties in the winter!

Great for dog walking, had a one of these for 7 years, now bought another. Design not as good as previous, tighter fit and less pockets. Don't like the Velcro fastening, but the zip is more robust. Warm and waterproof, just what I needed

Purchased the insulated squall as a replacement for one bought several years ago by my mum when she liked my own. As a birthday present I bought her the new one to find the design has changed - the side pockets are less useful, the cut was slightly smaller and the coat felt shorter. But most importantly (and I tried it on to verify it) it is not as warm as the previous winter Squall. My own old one feels like a duvet and keeps out all chills, particular on the arms. The new one definitely doesn't has as much insulation in the arms. Although she is keeping the coat for less warm weather she is now keeping the old one for really wintry days ....which defeated the object! It also means should I wish to replace my own - I just won't because I love my 'duvet'!

Over the years I've bought several of these as they ae great for dog walking. However each time you change the design which is frustrating!
The waist drawstring in the current version is approx an inch higher at 15.5 inches from the neckline than in my previous jacket and sits above my waistline
The hand warmer pockets are also placed higher at approx 1 inch from the bottom of the armpit which makes them virtually unusable.
I'll keep the jacket and see how irritating I find these changes before making a decision about returning it for a refund. I won't be reordering as no doubt a replacement will be the same.
