The petite size fits me well and the red colour is lovely. Well made , warm, and looks like it' ll be waterproof . I was surprised that its quite short, ie to hips only which probably rules out using it for hiking etc. More of a winter weather town coat.

I use this on cold wet days when I want to look smarter than the very heavy asking coat.

Bought this expecting it to be similar to the long squall coat but obviously shorter in length. Disappointed in that there are no zips on the pockets, the additional closings on the front are snaps not velcro making them awkward for someone with arthritis and the sleeves are shorter than the long squall coat meaning that they ride up your arms easily. It is a lovely colour though and apart from the sleeves fits well.

Good well made jacket but not for me. It felt too tight, although I bought my usual size. Also rather short for a bad weather jacket. Colour not quite the green I had hoped. Too many negatives so sadly returned it.

I really wanted to keep this jacket, it was warm and extremely practical, but the hood was far too small.
A squall jacket needs a hood to protect from wet weather.

I am less than 5ft tall and used to buy Landsend Petite squall jackets. I put on weight and could no longer buy your jackets, because Petite is not made in larger sizes. I have lost weight and am thrilled to be able to wear the squall again. I have had to buy inferior jackets, that wore out fast, and now can enjoy a well made winter, waterproof, jacket again.

            This jacket is great.
I have worn it since the weather changed to being colder & wetter, It does the job its supposed to do, besides looking good too.
            Had a compliment on it.
I have been looking for a jacket for awhile, and I am so pleased with my purchase.

            • Q:

Is the new squall jacket coming up true to size? I am wondering if 10-12 will be too small, I am generally size 12, I know 14-16 will be too big. Thank you!

                A:

The jacket is designed to allow for clothes to be worn underneath, so I would recommend the size UK 10-12. If it is not suitable then you would be welcome to exchange it for another size.

            • Q:

Why do you not put an inside pocket in the jacket when men always have at least one and sometimes 2....I'll have to buy another Swiss one where women's jackets always have inside pockets!
Such a shame would like to buy from you

HI, I have a fantastic squall jacket, one year old now. I would like to wash it before the winter comes. Is there any on-going care I should give it, like re-proofing?
              Thanks.

                A:

Over time the waterproof coating can start to fade, particularly if the item is machine washed. However there are several spray treatment products available which can be used to reapply a waterproof coating.
