We know you would never let winter slow you down. In fact, this coat can't wait to take on the worst of winter weather. Inspired by our love of winter sport, Stadium Squall® has been a trusted companion for many seasons. And whether you're sitting in the stands or just taking on the outdoors you'll quickly appreciate all it has to offer. Like the rest of the Squall family, it's designed to take on the harshest forecasts with a waterproof, windproof shell, cosy fleece lining, adjustable hood, even a storm flap to help block out the elements. (And for you diehard spectators, its longer length, plus 150-gram insulation puts plenty of protection between you and the cold.) Our coat has lots of comforts too, such as soft fleece inside the collar and pockets, adjustable cuffs with interior rib-knit cuffs and a chinguard to prevent nips. Drawcord waist helps block cold. Pockets include two at the waist with dual-side entry, one at the chest, plus one inside. 100% nylon/100% polyester upper lining. Machine wash.

Comments about Women's Stadium Squall Coat:

I am still undecided as to whether to keep this. The Scandinavian Blue is a gorgeous colour, but that is the only thing going for it in comparison with previous Squalls I have owned. Firstly, the pockets are completely bizarre, as others have said. Once upon a time Squalls had multiple full size proper inner pockets on both sides. Then there was one inner pocket and a vertical zip up pocket, and this Squall now has a single vertical zip up, strangely on the right hand side. I don't know if this is to finally allow left handed users a coat design that suits them, but it's a strange decision otherwise. The other upper pocket is really weird, being a tiny zip pocket on the outside of the coat, sort of beside your arm joint, which is too small to be of any practical use. The lower pockets are equally bizarre. I don't know what sort of shape the designer is, but having zip up pockets on a coat seam is not exactly easy to access for most people. This means if you want to put your hands in your pockets to keep them warm, your hands have to share the normal lower pockets with everything else (phone, purse, toiletries etc) that you used to be able to store in the inside pockets to save you needing a bag.

The other thing I found disappointing was the fleece liner. It was thinner than I expected, but also much shorter, stopping at a short waist height. I had thought that the Stadium would be like a longer version of the Parka, but possibly that was my own misunderstanding. Either way, the upper will not be as warm as a Parka.

I used to like Squalls (velcro aside) because they were not pretty but they were very warm and practical. Taking that away, I'm just left with a fairly ordinary waterproof coat, which I'm actually quite sad about.

I bought the shorter parker type coat approximately 5 years ago, I loved it especially for going to football & dog walking. Hence I decided to buy another one in a different colour as it was in the sale plus I had a discount of 25%. Best coat I have ever owned warm, windproof, waterproof. FABULOUS!

Comments about Women's Stadium Squall Coat:

I think I've had this for 10 or 12 years now and going to work in bad weather it was the best way of keeping warm. It is a bit heavy but then when it is cold it doesn't really matter. Been in the wash a few times without any trouble, although do remember to take black gloves out of your pocket first.

I can judge what kind of winter we have had by often the coat comes out and this winter it has never seen the light of day. Mine was a winter white one, all the other colours were too dark for me. If I wanted any changes it would be a removable hood (does it still have one now?)

Not as long as I thought it would be - but I'm quite tall at 5ft 11ins - and it's longer than my current waterproof jackets, which is what I wanted.

          A bit unflattering/straight up and down, but it's a squall jacket ;-)

I bought this for my mum to replace a previous version of the same coat which is now (?) ten years old. My mother is 89 and loves it.
I also own the same coat, which I have had for five years. It is going strong, and looks like new. Lands' End at its best.

Comments about Women's Stadium Squall Coat:

It's so difficult to find waterproof clothing that works when you're sitting down. But this coat outwits the rain, easily covers my knees, never threatens to blow away in the wind & is cosy without becoming sweltering. It' might not be easy to put on whilst in a wheelchair, but if you can put it on before you sit it's perfect.
I'm not sure why people have complained about the hood - I found it easy to use the toggle-cord to adjust it, & now it's the best-fitting hood I've ever had.
Some reviews said it seemed a bit small, so I bought a size larger than usual & it fits well. Thanks for the advice everybody.
I will admit that it's not exactly a fashion item, but it's smart enough, & "drowned rat" is a much worse look!

Comments about Women's Stadium Squall Coat:

I chose a size larger than I would ordinarily, because I had read the reviews that it was a bit small. It fits well, still allowing for winter layers underneath. It is very warm, yet lightweight, which is exactly what I was looking for. I bought it in the sale, which made it good value.

My only problem with this coat is that it is a bit tight across the shoulders.
Other than that is is great, nice and long - comes to mid calf(thought this may be due to me being short!). The hood is adjustable, which is great otherwise when up it would cover my nose and I couldn't see anything. It has lots of pockets, 1 internal so secure, and 5 others. The front lower pockets are a good size, big enough to take large sheepskin mittens and still have room. I would recommend this product.

This does not have the tag adjustment to adjust volume, however it has a snap off hood with the bungee cord that can be used to tighten the front.
