We know you would never let winter slow you down. In fact, this coat can't wait to take on the worst of winter weather. Inspired by our love of winter sport, Stadium Squall® has been a trusted companion for many seasons. And whether you're sitting in the stands or just taking on the outdoors you'll quickly appreciate all it has to offer. Like the rest of the Squall family, it's designed to take on the harshest forecasts with a waterproof, windproof shell, cosy fleece lining, adjustable hood, even a storm flap to help block out the elements. (And for you diehard spectators, its longer length, plus 150-gram insulation puts plenty of protection between you and the cold.) Our coat has lots of comforts too, such as soft fleece inside the collar and pockets, adjustable cuffs with interior rib-knit cuffs and a chinguard to prevent nips. Drawcord waist helps block cold. Pockets include two at the waist with dual-side entry, one at the chest, plus one inside. 100% nylon/100% polyester upper lining. Machine wash.

Comments about Women's Stadium Squall Coat:

How stylish can this kind of garment be? It's warm and weatherproof and so a bit bulky and this doesn't usually go with being flattering. As others have said, the pockets are a bit of a nuisance being set too far back but I've had no trouble with the zip - in fact it's great to find a coat with a double ended zip at all. I wanted a coat that would keep me warm and dry walking around town and that's just what I've got, so I'm pleased with it.

      Changes disappointing!

Comments about Women's Stadium Squall Coat:

I have a 3/4 length squall so bought the full length one expecting it to be as good but there are changes I am disappointed about.
The hood is not very comfortable. It is positioned differently so that you cannot have the coat zip fully up without the hood on which is annoying on a windy day when you choose to wear a hat but want to protect you neck and chin. The collar is also reinforced with something hard so is uncomfortable at the front.
The sleeves have less material so are narrower and not so good for layering. The sleeves are also shorter particularly the inner wrist, the Velcro band is thinner too this results in making it difficult to pull the sleeve down over the end of the glove and produces a drafty gap!
The bottom of the coat has Velcro which makes the bottom flaps of the coat join together even if you have the bottom zip up - needs to go back to the button so the wearer has a choice.
The side pockets now have a zip resulting in a narrower opening which makes it very difficult to walk along with hands in the pocket on a particularly cold day.
I really miss the 2 breast pockets, one for a mobile phone, velcroed, and one for other things. Instead there is one fairly large pocket located at the side of the zip - not so good.
The coat is still warm and good in bad weather (apart from the gap at the end of the sleeves) but I cannot help feeling disappointed at the changes that are not for the better.

Bought it as a gift for my wife. She said it is a lovely colour and the length is great but was she was totally disappointed the sleeves were 5 and 3/4 inches too short. Although a large lady she has quite thin arms and she said the arms felt tight also. I ordered a size larger to allow for jumpers or cardigans but it still did not fit it wouldn't do up over a T shirt let alone a jumper. Not what I was expecting from Lands End. Needless to say it awaiting collection....

I was also unable to leave pros or cons!!!

Comments about Women's Stadium Squall Coat:

I was thrilled when i received this coat three years ago. I have worn it, washed it, felt wonderful in it. It is still looking really good but I wanted to get another just like it. When I saw the lining i was delighted, expecting it to be identical. Sadly, I found that the little hand pockets on the chest which were so very useful for keys, tissues and freezing hands had disappeared. Instead, the pockets are in line with the side seams so you have to put your arms back so that your shoulder blades almost meet. The main zip is longer than the previous style so when it is closed I feel as if i'm in a tube. My old coat has a bit of an A line which is flattering. Also it feels comfortable to wear.
Sadly, if I had not worn it once I would send it back.

I purchased one of these some years ago, and the quality, fit, and pockets were far better than on this version.

It would be OK if you were not aware of how good the old version was, but I was disappointed.

This coat is so nearly perfect; but the hood squashes my hair flat, and the high chin/collar will be awful if I have make-up on - it will come off on the coat. So I'll have to be careful how I wear it. Not tested in rain yet, but I have every confidence that it will be great; light and warm and I wear it most days for walking.

I have been looking for a warm winter and waterproof long coat for a some time. I'm glad to say that I have found one that fits all of my requirements.
My only quibble is that the hood is too large and rather pouchy, but I can certainly live with that. And I don't care for the double zips that seem so popular on jackets these days.
