It was a lovely design However the belt loops did not sit on my waist they were too high. It was really well made and value for money especially as it was in sale. The colour was a lot brighter than I anticipated. But unfortunately I returned it for refund on account of the belt loops mainly. Lands end coats and jackets are really good as I have had several in the past Thank you

I wish I had taken notice of a previous review that said how untrue the colour is. It is nothing like 'Pumpkin', as it is called, it is more of a 'Rust'. I didn't even bother to unpack it, and I had to pay the return postage.

Comments about Women's Quilted Insulator Coat:

So far I've used this on a trip to the pub, on a day out strolling in Richmond Park, for a trip into town to do the weekly shopping & just walking the dog. It keeps me warm on these cool, bright spring days & keeps out the wind. It's not at all bulky, & the khaki colour goes with most of my casual clothes. The seaming gives the coat a nice fitted shape too.
The only thing I'm changing is the belt - I just don't like tie belts, so I'll sew a buckle on it & punch some eyelets in.

I bought as I need a light coat for evenings in Australia this winter /summer. I don't wear down and this was the only one available in non-down. The style is cheap and tacky but it packs up small and provides some warmth. I would be wary of wearing it normally as not my style.

I am a petite 5ft 1" UK size 14 I think the size 12 petite would be to snug. I would have to order the 14-16 medium would this be too big. I am not worried about length and I have long arms.

HI, thank you for your question. The 'M' (UK 14- 14/16) in this style measures 43 1/2" around the chest and 49 1/2" at the hip. The 'S' (UK10-12) is 2 1/2" smaller at both points. This would be true of both the Petite and Regular fits. The Petite measures 34 1/8" in length with 32" sleeves (measured from the base of the collar, centre-back); and the Regular measures 36 5/8" and 33 3/4" respectively. Should you require any further assistance, please call us on 0800 220 106.

We are quite generous in our sizing, however to help you choose which size to try the medium (UK 14/16) and large (UK 16/18) measurements are as follows:
                      Chest - M 43.5 inches - L 47 inches
                      Waist - M 40.5 inches - L 44 inches
                      Hip - M 45.5 inches - L 48.5 inches

The shell is water resistant, not waterproof, so will be breathable. As there is no zip or cinched cuffs, there are plenty of outlets for moisture vapour to escape.

The measurements you require will alter depending on the size, however as a guide the regular medium (UK14/16) is as follows:
                      Sleeve length - 33¾ inches
                      Upper arm - 15⅞ inches
