the perfect pumpkin

No front porch is complete without a spooky pumpkin this Halloween so sharpen your knife skills and have a go at our easy-to-follow templates below.

creepy jelly

You won’t get the collywobbles about making this easy, peasy dessert! Simply dissolve red and green jelly cubes in boiling water and pour into a bowl in layers with jelly snakes, spiders and bugs for added gruesome effect. As each layer sets, the beasties will be suspensded throughout the jelly - spookily simple!

slimy slush

This fruity punch tastes a lot better than it looks: in a punch powl, add a litre tub of lime sorbet, one litre of ginger ale and a glass of pineapple juice. Mix together so the sorbet blends with the fruit juices to create a slushy drink. If you prefer it to be more ghoulishly green, add a few drops of food colouring. Garnish with a few jelly creepy crawlies to finish.

witches fingers

Turn a simple sausage into severed fingers for the perfect halloween party treat. Heat hot dogs in the microwave or on the hob and cut in half. Cut off a little piece of hot dog at the rounded end and put an almond in its place as a finger nail. Serve with a generous splodge of ketchup ‘blood’ - you won’t believe how quickly they’re snapped up!
