We make clothes that last, which is why everything we sell comes with our amazing lifetime guarantee. Enduring quality is not only about value for money, but also the fight against disposable fashion, the idea that something is worn for a while, then thrown away to join the 900 million items of clothing going to landfill every year (read more).

However, from time to time, a garment will wear out or develop a fault. Many of you have told us you would prefer the item was mended rather than replaced or refunded, especially when it's a much-loved favourite that has reached that perfectly ‘worn-in’ stage or is no longer available. We also realised this could aid our quest to fight fast fashion and reduce waste.

So we are pleased to announce that our army of able seamstresses, in addition to hemming and embroidery, can now provide a repairs service for your Lands’ End classics - free of charge! If your favourite flannel shirt has lost a button or blown a seam, or your trusted trousers need a bit of attention, help is at hand.

At present, we can offer the following:

• Replace lost or broken buttons
• Mend seams and darts
• Fix loose or broken belt loops
• Repair hemmed trousers

How to request a repair on your Lands’ End garment.

Please send the item to us, enclosing a letter detailing the required repair (see list of repairs we offer above). Send your parcel to:

If, for any reason, we are unable to carry out the repair - we will get in touch with you to explain the reason - and return the item post free
