Not all flannel shirts are created equal. Starting with hearty, pure cotton twill (not a blend), ours are carefully brushed to create an incredibly soft touch. (In fact this season's are the softest we've ever laid hands on, and that's saying something.) With this peachy 'nap' inside and out, they deliver lightweight warmth and comfort beyond compare - a pleasure to wear when cold weather comes calling.

I buy men's flannel shirts for myself as well as for my husband. The Lands End ones in a size small fit me very well. I like the button-down collar but would have preferred two chest pockets although one will do. Lovely soft warm flannel, thicker than in some years. I bought this in both the blue and the wine colour.

My husband now has three of these flannel shirts - 2 dark and one lighter blue. They look really good and he finds them most comfortable, especially in chillier weather. They wash well, too, and are easy to iron.
