what is the weight of a xl size coat please

Thank you for your enquiry. This coat in an XL weighs 1534g.

Is the hood detachable

The hood is detachable on this Parka using popper fixings.

Is this coat really warmer than the classic squall parka. The specification seems virtually identical.

Thank you for your enquiry. Yes this Parka is warmer than the Classic Squall Parka, it has more fleece insulation.

Could you tell me where this is made please? Thanks Charles

Hello, and thank you for your inquiry. These coats are currently being produced in Thailand.

Hi, Is that a logo on the top left hand side of the coat, if so what does it say please.

The small rubber label on the left hand side of this coat says LANDS' END.

A very comfortable and durable weather coat

My new coat arrived today. As soon as I tried it on I knew it was "for me".

I would buy it again and again!

This coat was an absolute bargain in the sale, my partner recommended it as she already owns one and was always singing it's praises! It is warm and waterproof, windproof and comfortable.

Excellent coat

Very warm and waterproof coat. Well made. Great for walking trips

i would buy this product again.

o,k except for omission of internal zipped pocket.@ chest height.

Does what it says

Excellent coat in every way - warm, waterproof, comfortable. Internal cuffs make sleeve ends snug. Lots of really useful pockets. Only minus point is that the zip is the wrong way on, which is a bit of a nuisance. Haven't washed yet, so can't comment on that.

Lovely and warm and very good looking

Very warm but stylish

Excellent Cold Weather Anorak

Well designed coat with warm lining down to the bottom of the coat. Nice elasticated fleece cuff closures. I note some other comments: the full length zip cover uses velcro fasteners. The right choice as press studs inherently weaken the fabric. Similarly the zipped chest pockets could let in rain but they open from the bottom up - so if you keep your hands in - no rain! The outer pockets both have a clever coin pocket which should help the pockets retain their shape and last longer. Nice large poacher pocket inside bottom right.

Very warm and stylish. Best of all, it's long enough !

Excellent performance except for the hood.

Pretty good but could be better.

I bought this to replace a much-worn 20 year old ski jacket (and which, in fairness, cost a lot more). It is a lot heavier and quite a bit stiffer. The sleeves are a bit too long for my arms but can easily be rolled back an inch, which I have done. Plenty of pockets - more than I will need. My main need for this jacket is to be worn while taking walks (which I do daily) and day-long hikes (once or twice a month) during cold weather. So it needs to be wind and waterproof and warm. It meets these three requirements and I am sure will get much use. Downsides: two small ones. First the pockets are positioned such that it is uncomfortable to walk with hands in pockets. You can choose from either vertical pockets (which then let in the rain) or horizontal pockets which are uncomfortable. Second, my ski jacket allows you to tuck the thin hood into the collar. On this jacket the hood is way to big for this, which is a pity. Finally, the cover for the main zip closes over it using velcro. I wonder how long this will last. Good quality studs would have been better. Overall, this is a good product but a few minor changes would make it a great one.
