Love the feel of the material, nice and soft and reasonable warm. It is not too bulky so can be worn with a roll neck underneath or with a jumper over the top. Good fit, not like some LE shirts I have ordered that are far too baggy to comfortably wear under a jumper.

i now have six of these shirts and seem to buy another one each year when different designs come out. They are so soft and comfortable and go easily with jeans or chinos. They wash well and keep their shape.

When I buy flannel shirts it is for warmth and comfort in my active rural life. I have many older LE flannel shirts that are still thicker than this one! LE used to make them in a longer length that is better for tucking in and staying in, but not now. I bought the same size that my all previous shirts are and when they arrived they were too small. I measured them against the older shirts and they were quite a lot smaller all over. Is this cost cutting? It can't be styling, surely flannel shirts should be built for warmth and comfort? They were small in the chest, narrower sleeve and a bit shorter. They went back and were replaced with a larger size. The flannel is also poor. It feels soft when new but the underlying fabric is thin and will not wear well at all. You can see through the fabric if you hold it up to the light!. My husband's LE flannel shirts are so much thicker and warmer. I did try those on with a view to buying men's ones but they have breast pockets and are cut in a much more generous way. The sizing would need experimentation to get it right. But they are much better value. LE has lost it's USP for me. They had simple styles in good quality fabric. No more. They are no better than anything on the High Street now so they rarely get my custom. Very few trousers or jeans in Long length and inferior fabrics..

These shirts are so cosy and warm. They wash well, again and again, keep their shape and need very little ironing. I have several, in different colours and patterns, they are a staple of my winter wardrobe.
