Stylish go-everywhere parka
When changeable weather threatens, reach for this stylish wear-everywhere parka. The fabric has a fabulous sheen, not too much, just enough to set it apart from the ordinary. Its water resistant fabric means it will give protection if caught out in a rain shower, but its lightweight insulation means it will also keep you just warm enough if the temperature drops. Details like the fishtail, tape trim to the arms, placket, yolk and pockets add style. Also features a removable faux fur trim.

Quite nice

I bought it in the sale at a great price and don't regret my purchase. Very useful coat/jacket/parka/anorak ... whatever you want to call it. Bought the bark brown ... but also who cares what it is called. I'd say khaki for my 2 pennies worth. For me it sizes slightly larger than other coats/jackets I have purchased from LE. It's not meant for special occasions or nights out albeit to keep warm and dry. I personally have absolutely no trouble with the double zip. Works a dream. So all in all for an everyday practical coat it's very good. Oh ... the hood is not detachable and I had to lose the fur trim because it came down to my chin. Still happy.

I love this coat. It's light and warm but not too warm. The fur comes off the hood so it's for all seasons .The neutral clour goes with everything but is not wishy washy. A coat I know I'll live in. Only reservation is that there seems to be a knack to opening and closing the zip. Which I think I've now got the hang of. Fingers crossed.

This is a great little coat, perfect for popping into town to the shops, not cumbersome for getting in/out of car. The fabric is silky and looks smart in black. I already had an olive green version which gets worn when out dog walking. It's just warm enough for in between weather and fits a fleece underneath easily when it gets colder. But it is not heavy enough for serious cold weather....which we don't often get here.

Lovely coat shame about the zip

I had to return a city parka very similar to this which I chose from the last catalogue and I loved it.and wore it a lot. It was returned because of a troublesome failing zip, so on receiving this one I tried the zip several times and found the same problem so returned it straight away. Shame as it's a nice coat and I loved the Balsam Bark colour which I'd describe as Mushroom. Why is the colour of garments given such obscure names? One of very few Lands End failures.
