A* for style and warmth
You tell us how much you love our lightweight down collection of coats and jackets, but some of you asked for a more feminine shape. Voila! This season we've given the coat a flattering a-line shape. We think it looks great! All the other features remain the same, like the water-repellent shell and the latest technology HyperDRY down which is wax coated, making it water-repellent too. Try it, we think you're going to love it.
I order a coat with discount but need to return and get bigger size, will I be charged at discounted price or regular price?

If you exchange an item for a different colour or size, we would honour the original price paid.

Can you tell me the length of the sleeves, is it different in the regular and petite sizes?

Thank you for your enquiry. The sleeve length for the Regular medium is 34ins and the petite medium is 32.5ins. This measurement is taken from the centre back and down the sleeve.

Is it suitable for skiing?

Thank you for your enquiry I would recommend our Squall Coat or Jacket for skiing. They are both windproof and waterproof.

Could you please tell me the measurement armpit to armpit with the zip closed . Also the length from back neck seam on the 2 X 24 - 26. Also the same measurements on the 1X Thank you .

Hello, and thank you for your enquiry. Whilst we do not specify an armpit-to-armpit measurement, I can confirm that the garment chest measurement (total circumference) would be 58 1/2" in 2X and 54" in 1X. The length down the centre back would be 32 5/8" and 32" in the same sizes.

What is the length in a tall medium? Thank you JS

A Tall M is 81cm / 32ins in length.

What is the weight of the coat?

The weight of the coat, in medium, is 520 grams.

Does this coat have a hood?

Thank you for your enquiry. This coat does not have a hood.

Is the grey version grey (silver grey) or is it metallic silver please?

No nickname

Thank you for your enquiry. The silver grey does have a sheen which gives it a metallic appearance.

Is a 10 to 12 a generous 12? Normally I buy latter.

Thank you for your enquiry. The size UK10/12 is fairly generous with a chest measurement of 41". I hope this helps.

Too big.

I like the color and length but the size around the chest is so big. Unfortunately, i have to return.

Very pleased

It is a very flattering fit and not at all bulky

Can't Wait to Wear it!

I bought this in the sale when the weather was 30 degrees outside! So I haven't worn it outside yet, but I must admit I keep trying it on and absolutely love it. Contrary to many other reviews I find the fit is perfect, I ordered the petite version as most coats tend to be too long in the sleeve. I ordered the Medium size (14-16) even though I am more size 12-14. I thought (correctly) that going for a slightly larger version would be better in the winter so that I could wear a jumper or fleece under it. If you want a perfect fit, order your exact size, but you may regret it in the depths of winter. The length is good, ending just below the hips

Wonderful for the cold east coast

'Plumptious' Down Coat

I love this coat and this is my second one. It's lightweight but so warm and cosy in winter. Being slightly A-line and having a two-way zip, it also suits my petite, pear-shaped body. I bought mine in the sale, but would reluctantly pay full price if I was desperate for one in a different colour, now that I know how comfortable it is to wear. I've looked in the shops and haven't found a down coat that meets all the criteria this one does for my shape and size.

A truly warm, amazingly lightweight coat

Wide enough round the hips! Armholes wide enough to allow warm jumpers underneath.

Lightweight Down A-line Coat - disappointing

bought for a change of colour from my usual blue - but I feel that as the years go by the quality diminishes

Warm and Cosy

A great everyday coat for walking, shopping. Only just bought it but sure it will be useful. I bought Silver and my grandchildren noted that it matched my hair!

Tall good length, no need to go up a size. Warm coat

First Lands End item I've tried in their tall range and I'll be looking again. Length, including sleeve length was good. I found the medium a good size and OK to wear a top and jumper under ( I normally take a 14-16 depending on the make). The shape of the coat was odd and didn't work for me. This isn't A line as I think of it and just looked wrong on the hips. Shame as good length, liked the silver colour and the standup collar was warm but it had to go back

I would be careful about buying this again

Disappointed that it doesn't seem to be as warm as advertised. Your 'blurb' indicates it is in 'warmer' category, i.e. cosy even at -29 degrees. We have been at +1 to +3 but it hasn't really been as warm as I was expecting. Good in wind though.
