How to duck damp, dreary weather
The Duck Boot is an American classic. While the original was made for wading in New England's muddy shallows, now it's gone mainstream - quite the style icon. It's all about the rubber base/leather upper combination which (as well as underlining the signature look) tackles rain, snow and slush. We've simply added a plush padded interior with 400-gram Thermolite® insulation to give them a full roster of cold weather credentials.
Are these boots waterproof - not just waterproof soles....?

The soles are waterproof, while the rest of the boot is water-resistant.

Inconsistent fit

I would describe these as too small, but only in the ankle/leg area. The foot part fits well. Even though I have slim ankles and legs the upper part is extremely tight, stiff and uncomfortable. I hoped for a stylish alternative to the wellie, but as a design for wet weather this style is impractical - with being so tight imagine struggling to loosen the laces and pull them off if they were muddy, so I can't see how it's 'an American classic'.

I would not buy this product again

I could not get them on and have sent them back. They feel too narrow

Will always have a pair of these in my wardrobe

Love these boots, comfortable, supportive & very practical. Actually look good with a skirt as well as jeans. Different from most short boots on market. 😀

Rather disappointing

The boot is quite slim to get feet into so the laces had to be loosened considerably; this also meant that it didn't look quite so nice when done up. Every stone can be felt when walking as the sole feels thin- similar to a wellie boot, so its not comfortable. These really needed some padding for comfort. My feet were cold, despite it being only 11C but there is room for an additional or much thicker pair of socks. When I removed the boots the fluffy lining had stuck to my socks so I'm not sure how long that will last..
