Comments about Women's Sport Knit Trousers:

I have ordered loads of these trousers over the years from Lands End -some of the earlier pairs are still going strong. However especially over the last 18 months the style has 'altered' and the fabric quality has deteriorated significantly. In fact the last 2 pairs of navy size medium in a supposedly 30" inside leg shrank so much on 1st wash that they have been passed on to a relative who only has 27" inside leg - they are just long enough for her. I'm afraid I won't be purchasing anything else from Lands End. Quality has gone down too much whilst the prices remain the same.

Very disappointed. After a few hours of wear the knees bag very badly and look like you have slept in them ! After washing , the seams twisted . Looks like I've had them for years instead of days.
I haven't purchased anything from Landsend for quite some time and am very dissatisfied that the quality is now so dreadful. Not cheap and certainly not worth even half the price.

Comments about Women's Sport Knit Trousers:

I used to wear these years ago and I loved them but these seem very different. I don't remember their having pockets. I stitched them down and cut out the bulky pocket part. When you're my size you don't need the added bulk on your hips. I am 5ft 7 inches and have always ordered R size but now I had to shorten them an inch or so. They still looked very odd - I think they're going to end up in my charity bag. Sorry - I so wanted to like them.

Comments about Women's Sport Knit Trousers:

I've been buying Lands End clothing since the 1970s, What I liked about it was that I could get clothes in my size (anything from a 12 to 2X over the years) and because they sold clothes in 100% COTTON! Since I wear only natural fibres that can be washed without ironing (no linen), the new lines (Starfish and all that) are of no use whatsoever. The move to cheap polyester/viscose/modal is a mistake. While I'll come back for the remaining cotton clothing, I'm now having to look elsewhere.

Nice colour, shame about the length

Comments about Women's Sport Knit Trousers:

These trousers are a lovely shade of pink - but it was annoying to have to shorten them, since this colour was not available in Petite - apparently short people are supposed to dress in black and navy, and more interesting colours are reserved for those of standard height. A nice heavy quality jersey; remains to be seen whether they shrink/bag/fade as some other reviewers have said.

Comments about Women's Sport Knit Trousers:

This was the first time buying a pair of these trousers.

The fit was horrible - too big/baggy and curved over the hips, and with a horrible wide bulky elastic waistband that dug into my abdomen when sitting down. Very unflattering and uncomfortable. The trousers are very lightweight so I don't understand the need for such wide/heavy duty elastic - they are not going to fall down!

I had to alter them quite substantially to get them to fit, (a lot of effort!) which included shortening them a couple inches. Only to find, to my horror, that after a few washes they have shrunk in length.

It is the quality of the fabric really lets them down.

They 'knee' really badly, and go very saggy around the bottom - so unflattering.

The fabric also doesn't drape very well (which usually a quality of cotton jersey interlock which these are made of) and also shows every mark, which then won't wash out for some reason.

After several washes they have also faded. N.B. I have used 'colour' washing liquid and I am meticulous about following washing instructions. After only 6 washes they are looking quite scruffy, so they are a big disappointment.

I won't be buying another pair. Which is such a shame as I wanted to be able to buy several pairs of simple, comfortable, loose fitting jersey trousers, as a wardrobe staple, and thought I had found a reliable source for now and the future. Sadly not.

For this price I would expect a much higher level of quality. These compare very badly in this respect to other brands of jersey trousers I have bought in the past.

I bought 2 pairs of these in the Autumn. The material is lovely and comfortable but the SIZING !!!!!! They are so long in the rise that the crotch is just above my knees - and this after many HOT washes to try and shrink them. I am sure NOBODY is this shape. Please get them sorted so that I can buy some more. (And in colours other than grey and navy).

I am sorry to hear the sizing is not suitable for you, I would suggest trying the petite fitting as these will be shorter in the rise. Your request for more colours has been passed to our Merchandising Team.

As demand is less than for the regular fitting, we do not offer as many colour options in petite and plus. We do have 4 colours to choose from, Black, Classic Navy, Dark Charcoal Heather and Khaki.

Described as strait leg trousers but is it not tapered at all? Can you please give a measurement of the width of bottom leg. I purchased your cord trousers XS/P 2-4 that is slightly tapered and width measures 17cm and I like it very much.

If there is about 2% stretch I can wear a size 20, otherwise it has to be size 22. I read the answer to another question where Claire says that there is stretch in this material. This is why I'm asking!

Due to the stretch in the fabric these trousers are pre-hemmed to 30 inches in the regular fitting. You may wish to take a look at our Starfish Trousers (401409) as these do have a 31 inch inside leg.
