The journey to a life well worn.
The exclusive sixteen piece collection.
Sixteen designs that bring together the Harris Tweed tradition and our belief in lasting style.
Harris Tweed is more than fabric. It is a story that begins in the
Outer Hebrides, where every metre is woven by hand in island homes.
The wool is dyed, spun and finished on the islands, a process that has
remained unchanged for generations. Protected by law and held in trust
by the Harris Tweed Authority, it is one of the rare fabrics in the
world still made this way.
Each tweed carries the mark of its place. Colours drawn from
land and sea, textures that hold the feel of weathered stone and open
ground. Woven slowly, without shortcuts, it is a cloth that speaks of
patience and permanence.
For this collection, the story continues in a new way. Harris
Tweed have created Oakham Tweed, exclusively for Lands’ End. The
unique colours are drawn from the British countryside with blue that
recalls water from Rutland to the green that reflects the open fields
and rolling hills.
From the Outer Hebrides to the British countryside, Oakham Tweed exists only here. Woven with care, created by Harris Tweed for Lands’ End alone.
This exclusive tweed brings together two heritages. From Scotland, the
patience and craft of the Outer Hebrides. From Lands’ End, a belief in
clothes that are purposeful, enduring and designed with care.
Together, the result is fabric that connects place and story, ready to
be cut into modern design.
It is a tweed that exists nowhere else, shaped by heritage and
crafted with care. Harris Tweed reflects a slower way of making, where
time and attention are part of the process. It is also a fabric built
for life. Woven from 100% wool, Harris Tweed is naturally renewable,
biodegradable and recyclable. Durable by nature, it asks little in
care and rewards you with years of wear. As it settles into your
wardrobe, Harris Tweed begins to change, softening with time and
shaping itself to you.
Every metre of this fabric supports more than craftsmanship
alone. Produced only in the Outer Hebrides, it sustains a heritage
industry that has provided livelihoods across remote island
communities for generations. To choose it is not only to wear a piece
of history but to help carry it forward.
Colours drawn from land and sea, textures shaped by generations. Oakham Tweed is a story written in threads, not words.
The collection is designed as a foundation for the season and beyond.
Jackets and blazers that handle British weather with characteristic
understatement. Sweaters that add warmth without weight. A waistcoat
made for versatility, worn on its own or layered with ease. A skirt
that gives tweed a lighter, more modern line.
Accessories complete the picture. A hat that works from country
paths to city streets. A tote bag strong enough for daily life yet
simple in style. Gloves lined for warmth, finished with care. Each
piece reflects the same values, modern design, heritage fabric and
details that last.
At the heart of it all is Oakham Tweed, a fabric created only
for Lands’ End. Handwoven in the Outer Hebrides and inspired by the
colours of the British countryside, it carries a story you cannot find
elsewhere. Sixteen pieces shaped by heritage and designed for today,
made to be trusted, worn often and kept for years to come.

Caring for your Oakham Tweed.
Harris Tweed is a fabric made to last, and with a little care it will
stay part of your wardrobe for years to come.
Brush it
regularly with a soft clothes brush to remove surface dust and keep the
fibres fresh. If it gets wet, hang it to dry naturally, away from direct
heat. Spot clean gently with cool water when needed, and for a deeper
clean, trust a specialist dry cleaner familiar with wool. Store your
tweed in a cool, dry place, giving it room to breathe.
Over
time it will soften and shape itself to you, becoming more individual
with every wear.
