A Fresh Take On Autumn
Meet the new collection through the eyes of our Merchandiser, Eddie, where classic pieces leave plenty of room for personal expression.
New But Make It You
There’s something freeing about immersing yourself in a new collection but making it
entirely your own. Just ask Eddie, who has taken our new autumn drop and put her own
personal twist on it. While our autumn collection embraces classic styles and shapes,
Eddie elevates the selection with clever styling choices and innovative pairings to make
sure her own personal style doesn’t get lost in the process.
“Who said Modern Heritage needs to feel old-fashioned. For me, Modern Heritage is all
about purposeful play with texture.”
A classic can be polished without feeling prim and you can evoke a sense of character to
traditional pieces with ease. It’s less about following an established idea of autumn
dressing and more about deciding which parts of it suit you. That might mean relaxing what
sits alongside it or simply introducing an element that feels more personal. The new
collection offers plenty to work with, but Eddie leaves space for instinct too. Because
the pieces we return to year after year feel most relevant when they reflect the person
wearing them, rather than the rules that once surrounded them.

Do Take It Personal
Eddie’s strongest combinations often begin with two pieces that bring different attitudes
to the same look. Similarly, a classic blazer in a traditional print is propelled into
cooler territory with lived in jeans. It takes the polish out of tailoring without losing
its impact, and gives you more opportunities to wear pieces from the new collection.
“I love the contrast of delicate lace, paired with the structure of cord and rugged wax
finishes. This gives a look that feels both feminine and timeless.”
Proportion is another way to shift the familiar. An oversized coat has presence, but
cuffed trousers keep the silhouette from feeling too formal, creating a balance between
structure and ease. Eddie shows us that leaning into personal styling favourites holds
weight here too. Your long-loved hat can introduce character, while an exposed cuff or an
open collar stops things feeling too perfectly placed.
None of these choices compete with the original piece, they simply reveal another side of
it. One element carries the familiarity, while everything around it nudges the look
somewhere more current and distinctly you.
Find Your Own Styling Formula
Eddie may have taken our latest collection somewhere entirely her own, but that’s exactly
the point. Classic pieces don’t come with a fixed way of wearing them, and there’s no need
to embrace the look from head to toe to make an impression. Sometimes one familiar
reference is all an outfit needs, before everything around it becomes a reflection of your
own wardrobe and way of dressing. Start with the blazer, the coat or the classic Oxford
shirt and play around with what makes it feel most like you.
Think of the new collection as a starting point rather than a finished formula: something
to mix with old favourites, unexpected finds and the pieces that speak to you. Because the
most interesting thing about a classic isn’t simply that it lasts, it’s how different it
can look depending on who’s wearing it.
